Deathtrap

A thriller playwright in a slump, Sidney Bruhl receives a play manuscript from one of his former students, Clifford Anderson.  Clifford asks Sidney for a review and comments on this manuscript and unfortunately for Sidney this is a phenomenal two-act thriller.  Green with envy, Sidney and his wife, Myra use Sidney’s ability as a playwright to lure Clifford to the Bruhl home with the intention to kill Clifford and steal the manuscript.  But when Clifford arrives, things do not work out as planned especially with the nosy psychic next door, Helga Ten Dorp, and the observant Porter Milgram, Sidney’s attorney.
