“The Pirates of Tucker’s Island” was a musical loosely based on Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance”, where the pirates turned out to be the good guys. The music was taken from some of the world’s most famous operas, with the lyrics rewritten to tell the story.
